Basic information

The Faculty of Science, Humanities and Education is the biggest one of the seven faculties of the Technical University of Liberec. Currently, more than two thousand students are enrolled in 24 degree programs. Graduates of the faculty are awarded bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, teaching at kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, or working as experts in various fields of education, the humanities or science.

The selection of degree programs on offer, their curriculum, as well as the syllabi of individual subjects are continuously updated. The majority of subjects are also accompanied by e-learning, and students can also study abroad. A strong emphasis is placed on the quality of teaching, on practical training, and close cooperation with schools, state and local authorities, as well as private companies, i.e. potential employers of our graduates. The theses of our students in turn are practically oriented and regularly awarded.

The wellbeing of students and faculty alike is a high priority. We have our own day-care facility, looking after pre-school children during lessons. At the main campus in Husova Street there is a canteen, a club for students, as well as the university’s own kindergartern (ŠkaTULka), which encourages the development of children’s curiosity through Montessori education.
